St. Mark's Primary School Edinburgh

In line with Gospel values, St. Mark's strives to develop the Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, Moral and Physical growth of all involved in the life of the school

Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends,
I write to thank you for the interest you have shown in St.Mark's School by firstly viewing our website. I hope that the site provides useful information and details relevant to the school.

St. Mark's is a Catholic primary school with a wide catchment area. We are situated at the foot of the Pentland Hills and adjacent to Colinton Mains Park. Our catchment area includes Bonaly, Caiystane, Colinton Mains, Colinton Village, Firrhill, Oxgangs, Redford and the housing areas adjacent to the city by-pass.
We are a small school with a maximum capacity of approximately 200 children. Each child in our school is an individual and special. Each individual is given the opportunity to grow and learn in an atmosphere of discipline, kindness and care.

If you have any worries concerning the education of your children, please remember that we are here to answer your queries. It is always a good idea to make an appointment beforehand to ensure that there will be someone to see you but as the school operates an open door policy your queries or concerns will be dealt with as quickly as possible. Please contact the school by letter, telephone, via e-mail or indeed in person.

Also, if you would like to view our School Handbook or view other photographs of the school building and playground please use the links at the very bottom of the page.

Yours sincerely

James McDevitt

Head Teacher
